PBT - Louisville Running Club
Running Club Benefits
Runners and walkers in the Louisville area looking to prepare for a race or improve their fitness will have the opportunity to join a new year-round training group. Following a successful spring training session, Personal Best Training will continue its Louisville-based program to help athletes reach their goals.
Training plans and weekly speed sessions will be developed by Coach Matt Ebersole, an Indianapolis-based coach with 30 years of experience coaching more than 7,000 athletes. The Louisville group will be hosted by Tracy Green, a 15-time Boston Marathon qualifier coached by Ebersole since 2016.
PBT LOU membership includes:
Daily training plan designed by Matt Ebersole
Weekly newsletter and training plan explanation videos
Tuesday night group quality/speed workouts hosted by Tracy Green (beginning June 1)
Access to Training Peaks online platform
Resources for all your training needs and questions
Private Facebook group for coordinating long runs etc.
Occasional special events and long run meet-ups
Open to all levels
Race day planning advice
The base training plan covers 5K to half-marathon preparation with broad enough ranges to fit most needs. Options will be offered for athletes targeting full marathons, and more individualized training programs are also available.
The Tuesday night group will meet year-round with possible holiday- and/or weather-related exceptions — however, workouts will still be provided even if there's not a meeting. Athletes can still participate and benefit from the group even if they don't attend the weekly sessions, which will be held in St. Matthews.
PBT LOU is $150 annually, which begins when the athlete signs up. The program begins June 1, although athletes can sign up at any point throughout the year. For more information or to register, visit personalbesttraining.com
